OMFG Tumblr. I was in my Tumblr account this morning removing a lot of duplicate content when, all of a sudden, the screen went blank and I got a note saying my Tumblr had been terminated! Just like that! 60,000 followers and years of posts - JUST GONE! It's not so much the photos I worry about but rather all the text. All the stories.
I've sent in a ticket and I'm hoping it was because they found all the editing I was doing suspicious. And, maybe, I can get the account back. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't - seems pretty random. I'm concerned they may have found some of my text too explicit which, let's face it, it really was. Still, they have always said, even during the "nipple ban," that explicit prose was OK.
So now what? Viewership was going down here from about mid 2022 and had started going down at Tumblr, too. We weren't happy with the way things were going and, apparently, neither were you. We all sat down earlier this week do decide what to do with our public projects. We knew we had to either change how we were doing things or just stop - but I couldn't just let it all go that easy, I've been doing it for 14 years! So we had decided to run two blogs: The first would be the Tumblr blog which I would manage and which would contain PG13 - R rated content. This blogger site would be managed by Michelle and would be primarily R - X content. We would limit the text and focus on images and maybe GIFs. We might then have a third account which Roxy would manage which would be where our text adventures would go.
I quickly surveyed the ladies of Studio M this morning and the general consensus is to stick to our plan and run three blogs. It will just be a brand new Tumblr.
It is a little refreshing to start something anew. I kinda feel like maybe Merry and Pippin in Lord of the Rings: I've been on a grand journey and am now back in Hobbiton with those closest to me - and that is YOU! We'll start over together.
Oh, Roxy just reminded me of something that may have led to the termination: I did have a couple of side blogs under the tumblr account where I would reblog some of my favorite stuff. Some of those reblogs of other peoples' posts could have had copyright protection and so my reblogs may have been cited as a violation.
Oh well, stay tuned here for more info about our new tumblr and look soon for a photo and note from Michelle. She actually had jury duty this week 😐😜
