Hurricane Ian Update and a Hot Repost

But first, though Hurricane Ian isn't fully done with us yet, the worst is over.  Thankfully we are all OK.  We were not so near the eye so the damage to our properties wasn't near as bad as it could have been.  We had a break in the rain and several of us set out on golf carts to survey the property.  The cottage where Becca lives had some shingles blown off and there is water damage in the kitchen ceiling.  The biggest damage was to one of the other houses: a medium-sized tree fell on the garage and went through the ceiling.  Thankfully, the rafters were sturdy enough to keep the tree from crushing the two cars inside but the roof will have to be replaced.  The main house, Michelle's house, and the other houses had little or no damage.  There are numerous trees down on the property and limbs and palm fronds down everywhere.  Most of the several lagoons overfilled their banks but the flooding was mostly just around the ponds.

In talking with Deke and Big Eddie there was no major damage to Studio M.  Unfortunately, the two older buildings (what used to be called Studios A and B) were heavily damaged and may be lost causes.  As at our housing development, numerous trees are down around the studio property and the lagoons there flooded much more extensively and covered a lot of the property, including the three pools.

The main things, of course, is that everyone is fine and the main properties are in good shape.  We'll report more soon.
